Dans les légendes asiatiques, le dragon n’apparaît pas soudainement. Il naît d’un long cheminement, porté par l’eau, le temps et la métamorphose. Cette collection raconte cette histoire, depuis les profondeurs silencieuses où tout commence jusqu’à l’apparition du dragon, gardien des eaux et des nuages.
Chaque tableau est une étape de cette naissance. 
Plus qu’une représentation, il est une invitation à imaginer ce qui précède l’invisible.

Une carpe koï évolue paisiblement parmi les nénuphars. 
Selon une ancienne légende asiatique, une carpe capable de remonter 
le courant et de franchir la cascade 
de la Porte du Dragon est récompensée par les dieux : 
elle se transforme alors en dragon céleste.

An ancient Asian legend tells of a koi that, by swimming against the current
and leaping over the Dragon Gate Waterfall, earns the favor of the gods 
and is transformed into a celestial dragon.
